WHAT IS THE SONGWRITING PROJECT?
We deliver fun songwriting and singing projects online and in Dorset, Devon and Hampshire, building confidence, creativity and social connection, and supporting participants’ overall health and wellbeing.
Each project is bespoke, with the content and pace designed to meet the needs of the particular people we will be working with. We are also very happy to run projects based around a particular theme, for example, a place, a season, a historical event.
You don’t have to be able to read music or have any experience of songwriting to take part. It also doesn’t matter whether you believe you are any good at singing… All people and all voices are welcome!
Here is an example of a song we created…
“We learnt lots of new things, and it’s given me a sense of pride about my local area, and I’m walking around it singing as I walk my dog every day – just singing the song over and over”

One of our regular projects is called Nature Songs. It is delivered in public parks and combines singing, songwriting and nature connection. You can find out all about Nature Songs in less than 3 minutes by watching the video below!
If you take part in a project, you can expect...
- To meet new people and make new friends
- To have lots of fun and laughter as we work together
- To notice a lift in your mood as you sing, hum or play an instrument
- To feel fully supported – we promise you won’t have to do anything you don’t want to do
- To build your confidence and feel proud of your part in creating a beautiful new song!
“I had so much fun doing it. […] I can’t even describe how much joy this project has brought, you know, and the songwriting and the singing – it’s like you just keep humming, you just keep singing, you keep learning the lyrics – and it’s just so nice. I just loved every minute of it”
